I entered my Apple ID password wrong, twice. So I was forced to "recover" my account. Which required my cell phone. And my credit card number. I've been approved for recovery, yay! But it it takes 24 hours, boo! And I can't read the new book I just got until then.
I think the company has well-intentioned ideas about protecting accounts, but they too often burden the user.

I agree. I liked their security measures but sometimes it works against you. I am however disappointed in their new software. My poor SE is struggling to keep up pace.
