Before I was laid off at @grist, they pushed me really hard to get poc to apply to the justice fellowship. Guess that they did after that?

After getting people of color to apply, and getting their hopes up with interviews, they CANCELLED THE JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP.
-
Just about the worst thing a white-only climate/environmental publication can do. Make poc think they have a chance and then say lol nah.
-
Oh and Grist offered me two weeks severance only if I agreed to never ever talk about the racism and other shitty stuff that went on there.
-
I needed the money so badly, but couldn't take it. I have something much more valuable: the ability to tell the truth about what happened.

Wasn't aware. Unfollowed stat. No longer RTing their stuff. They suck for doing this to you. And fronting as a "we get diversity" online mag
-
Still shocked they pubbed an article about the whiteness of green. I can't even bring myself to click it

That's some bullshit. I'm very sorry you were treated poorly by a group claiming to shine a light on the lack of diversity in green groups.
