All of the people running this coffee shop are hella white, who. You can look up their Insta and see that for yourself.
When people first protested two days ago, Weird Wave Coffee called LAPD. Context, cops killed a 14-year-old up the street a few months ago.

I remember the restaurant that used to be here. It was an Afro-Mexican spot. Delicious. They had to vacate when the rent went up.pic.twitter.com/pZtehEAbRD
Protestors will be at Weird Wave, at 2415 Chávez in Boyle Heights, tomorrow at 8a. Neighborhood women will be giving away free coffee.pic.twitter.com/pPsQjDOMBQ

It's 90° out and protestors are standing under the burning sun. Clearly dedicated in their action against Weird Wave Coffee.

I really do feel for people feeling pinched by housing costs but you're a class traitor if you go to a Latino owned coffee shop? No.
You're not from LA so maybe you don't know that Boyle Heights was gentrifying long before this. It's structural & a protest won't end that.
Great flier!
