This Moment features a white woman explaining she's not comfortable with the way Mayer uses the n-word. How you think black people feel?
-
This Moment features another white woman calling out peole who didn't previously denounce Maher's Islamophoboa and transphobia. Umm.
-
This Moment features Muslim and Arab voices exposing Bill Majer has been a bigot. Which is true but... THE DUDE SAID THE N-WORD.
-
Can we hear from black folks about this,
@twitter? Can you actually feature black voices, even just this once? -
Black people disproportionately make Twitter a thing, yet Twitter disproportionately cuts black voices on Moments. This must end, too.
-
Lol
@twitter went and deleted some of the whites in today's Moment and finally added some more black folks. Improvement, I guess.

Been wanting to gather demographic data about top Moment for a week straight at 9a ET. I suspect it will be mostly white tweeps featured...
-
Anyone can tweet, as you know. But Twitter makes an unconsciously biased (?) decision to highlight some voices over others. It seems unjust.

Totally. There does seem to be an even balance of men's and women's voices -- but rarely a space for gender non-conforming voices.
