Good point. Basically, my research indicated that the 1970 strike was the biggest of its era & I couldn't find comparative data.

So I felt the '70 strike was analogous to the Women's March because both were unexpectedly gigantic & kicked off movements.

That said, numbers for the '70 strike are hard to pin down, but we know there were 750,000 at the Million Woman March, so.
