"It's all a game for Milo!" is one of the most offensive analyses I've ever considered. There are real consequences.
-
-
POC aren't being invited (and paid) to write Milo analysis. Milo made a pitch to make certain people invisible, poc writers included.
-
Milo pushed to make media more white, and white women are making sure that his wish is coming true. This is what complicity looks like.
-
It's also complicity on the part of all these publications that refuse to make room for black/native/latinx people.
-
If all your writers and editors look like Milo's brothers and sisters, you're doing his bidding and you're part of the problem.

It wasn't built to hold white women accountable, either.

As long as there is money waved around, and a redemption narrative to be had, these pieces will always be there.
