Part of the reason why it's so frightening is that white colonizers have a history of feeding indigenous infants to hungry dogs. #NoDAPL

Indigenous peoples in South and North America have been terrorized by colonizers' dogs. Sticking dogs on
#NoDAPL exists in that context. -
This dog was instigated by Dakota Access security to bite; it has native blood on its mouth and muzzle.

This happened Saturday: a dog was used to ravage natives during the
#NoDAPL struggle. It's deplorable. But it doesn't stop there. -
Because the dogs weren't enough, the National Guard has now set up stops on the way to the
#NoDAPL camp; they've been called in by the gov. -
Keep in mind that Standing Rock Sioux Nation is a tribal sovereign nation. It doesn't answer to the governor or the state of North Dakota.
-
Standing Rock Sioux Nation has a government-to-government relationship with the federal government. Yet National Guard is being called in.

The photos I've seen from the National Guard deploying on
#NoDAPL give me pause. I pray my brothers and sisters live through this. -
Tomorrow is a big day for
#NoDAPL. Keep the camp in your thoughts and, if you're so inclined, in your prayers and offerings.
