every time I see a white person's pokéstop map I get sad for all the kids in my neighborhood who hardly have any pokéstops at all

Looks like suburbs and rural areas lack pokestops. They're concentrated in downtowns—that's where the big difference is.

There are also so many incredible threads stemming from

A sad side effect of Pokémon Go using the user-submitted data collected from Ingress which did not have a diverse userbase.
@aurabogado -
They've got a web form to submit new pokestops/gyms. I doubt it'll help much until integrated into app tho

Can anyone who knows tell me if people are able to sumbit potential pokestops via smart phone (as opposed to laptop)?

White, in a moderately affluent, mostly white neighborhood. In Silicon Valley.

There's probably some truth to your assertions, but the data will be muddy because residential neighborhoods...
@ChrisWarcraft -
don't tend to have many of the sorts of landmarks that got turned into Ingress portals.

Forgot the hashtag. White, in a moderately affluent white neighborhood, in Silicon Valley.

I think a convincing case could be made if you took the Ingress maps and correlated then with census demographic data.
