Think about trans people who have ID but it doesn't correspond to their gender. They have to show ID to perfect stranger to vote. Awful!

Think about the woman at the shelter who ran out with her kids and the clothes on their backs. No ID? Sorry, she can't vote.

And then there's all the people who can't even get to their polling place. I'm talking about driving two hours, one way, to cast a ballot.

You really want people to vote? Make same-day registration, ID-free voting a thing, with polling places everywhere. Make a national holiday.

I somehow forgot to mention people in jail or prison: why are they denied their right to vote? In or out of prison, it's their right!

As we know, people of color are criminalized at a much higher rate than whites. Conveniently, this messes with their right to vote, too.

So how can you know that there is no identity thief without an ID? Somebody could impersonate other and vote in its place.
