If you think the voting irregularities don't matter because they wouldn't have put Sanders over the top, you're missing the point.

This is about the degree to which people feel (or don't feel) like they can fundamentally participate in society.

Because the vote has been SO hard fought by so many different groups of people, they feel something when it gets taken away.

What they feel is disenfranchisement—a very particular kind of marginalization.

So yes, it matters that so many people in California were disenfranchised yesterday. It matters a lot.
