If I remember correctly, in 2011 the OED even referenced "I
NY" as an example of its use. Again, late. WAY late. -
It's cute that OED added
in 2011. And that it's naming
as 2015's word of the year. But it's peculiar that it's such an arbiter of words. -
Because, in this sense, the OED being an arbiter of words means it's an arbiter of writing. And white folks are really invested in that.
