And, like #KellyGissendaner, #RichardGlossip never even killed anyone. The people who did kill someone? Neither will be executed.

People on death row like
#AlfredoPrieto, who's latino and originally from El Salvador, are a lot less visible. -
You'd think latino advocacy organizations would back people like
#AlfredoPrieto and other latinos on death row. But they don't. -
Take Nebraska. Latinos: 10% of the pop, but made up 50% of death row. When lawmakers moved to abolish death penalty, latino orgs were mum.
-
Organizations like MALDEF and NCLR don't only not advocate against the death penalty—they don't even have a POSITION on the death penalty.
-
It was the latino evangelicals known as NALEC that took a position against the death penalty... they're beating the big latino orgs on this.
-

-
But some of y'all get mad when I tweet this. Even tho you know it's true.
-
This silence from many latinos also hinges on anti-blackness, and some convenient myths. But I don't think it can last too much longer.
-
Just look at California, which has more than twice as many death row inmates than Texas and Florida combined. These are latino states....
