White mans tears at the Oscars. Literally.
I don't have handy data for disabled worker wages. And that's completely on me. I should be thinking about this and tweeting about this.
I do know that for when it comes to trans workers, mtf means your wages will be severely cut. Ftm means your wages will increase.
I've looked for more data about trans workers specifically and have always come up short.
Here's Arquette in her own words. Unbelievable.pic.twitter.com/NuKjKgpW0G
@aurabogado why do you assume she isn't honestly talking about equal pay for all people?
@RHuffmann @aurabogado because she explicitly said "everybody else" and that's an impossible concept if you mean "all women."
@rljd @aurabogado thank you.
@aurabogado @shereeny But if you're talking about ALL WOMEN...
@lauriedtmann so…what exactly do you think your reply is adding right now, when @aurabogado's specifically talking about racial disparities?
@shereeny @aurabogado Sorry it's late & I thought you were talking about something else.
@aurabogado I didn't know, I do now, thank you for getting this info out.
@aurabogado @emanithegoddess I agree. Constantly holding onto privilege of speaking "universally" - #done
@aurabogado If you think about it for five seconds, maybe you'd realize there are different implications between race and gender inequality.
@aurabogado More than one variable can be meaningful in a regression. You can isolate their individual effects for analysis. Perfectly OK.
@aurabogado If you are talking about gender, it is appropriate to reference gender. If race, reference that. This is how statistics work.
@aurabogado @NicT10 like the WW who wondered what did MLK contribute, it's only about them.
