That time when the convo about equality became about white women getting paid more and people were like SAY THAT!pic.twitter.com/ehsU8Jj47U

White women earn 82¢ for every $ a white man earns. We know that. Latina women earn 61¢ for every $ a white man earns. Sixty. One. Cents.
When white women are talking about white women, they should say "white women." This claim your gender but not your race thing? Tired of it.
White mans tears at the Oscars. Literally.
I don't have handy data for disabled worker wages. And that's completely on me. I should be thinking about this and tweeting about this.
I do know that for when it comes to trans workers, mtf means your wages will be severely cut. Ftm means your wages will increase.
I've looked for more data about trans workers specifically and have always come up short.
Here's Arquette in her own words. Unbelievable.pic.twitter.com/NuKjKgpW0G
@steveroggenbuck @aurabogado we're doing the same put amount of work; not using $1 for the standard of women implies otherwise.
@leahgaraas You're using white women as the "standard." You might want to rethink the intersectionality part of your bio. @steveroggenbuck
@aurabogado @steveroggenbuck did you even read my tweet? I mention both white & black women.pic.twitter.com/jMTcT0npRB
@leahgaraas Hey, so we can tweet back and forth on this but please don't suggest I can't read. Thanks. @steveroggenbuck
@aurabogado @steveroggenbuck no, I suggested using $1 as the standard.
@leahgaraas No, you didn't. $1 is already the standard; it's what white men earn. You changed it to center on white women. @steveroggenbuck
@aurabogado @steveroggenbuck I included examples for both white & black women in my tweet. #done
@leahgaraas Oh you're done now? Kewl. Thanks for the whiteplanation, but please save it for someone else next time. @steveroggenbuck
@steveroggenbuck @aurabogado I prefer to say white women make $1 for every man's $1.18, black women make $1 for every man's $1.31.
@leahgaraas You can prefer to say whatever you want. But black men earn .91¢ for every $1 a white woman earns. @steveroggenbuck
@aurabogado @steveroggenbuck how about black men earn $1 for every white man's $1.09? they're doing the same amount of work.
@leahgaraas Because you were the one who suggested using white women as a standard. @steveroggenbuck
