It's generally unheard of for human subjects to be participants in a study they haven't been told about, especially at the PhD level. 2/2
@JaymeMaybe Type of research does matter. I don't know what Census protocols are. I do know that the academe has rules for human subjects.

@aurabogado I'm not a researcher, but I've done tech support for them on Census data. Idea is to allow group analysis w no ID info. -
