Should we capitalize the word "español" when we're writing in English?
@tanyagolashboza I get stuck at thinking which words are Spanish words, and which are loans words. And to whom? Adiós or adios, for example.

@aurabogado He said "when the españoles came..." I'd italicize the latter. -
@tanyagolashboza I get that--capitalize Español as loan word. But strange it gets to keep the tilde when adios as loan word does not.
-
@tanyagolashboza not tilde, of course, but accent in adiós

@aurabogado good point. Italicization signals the word as foreign even tho some words hv been incorporated into English.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
