Year after year California fires start where forests aren't taken care of and dry brush isn't cut back. Your emotional race baiting is shameful. #WalkAway

Year after year California fires start where chaparral is managed and dry bush is cut back. It’s nature. It’s wild. It burns. People who choose to build homes in carpet bombs shouldn’t be surprised.

I grew up in Glendale which was a “Sundown Town”- before my time I’m not that old. The entire country has a shameful history of racism & segregation.

The county of LA has a population of 10 million people, it’s bifurcated by a mountain range & in the middle of a desert. The whole thing makes no sense.

If this country is so racist why don’t all of you leave and find your utopia somewhere else???

Ouch. Experts make clear that urban sprawl has led to construction where it shouldn’t be. And the people who are out there are often engaging and “white fight.” But the other problem is our growing metropolises. Maybe UBI would allow people to stay in smaller towns and get work.

I looked at your comments from last year and you say that inmate firefighters make $1/day. I hope you know now that it’s $2/day + $1/hour.
