I think it was called the Blue Star Inn -- I am not from Texas. my uncle lived in Midland from 1950 until he retired and moved to Colorado

Midland is nowhere near Houston. (Even if China Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant still in existence, is it possible there were other Chinese restaurants in the city earlier?)
