Remember the MVM offices in Phoenix that were holding children who were taken from their parents at the border? One child named Wilson, who was just 6 years old when he spent two nights there, shared his startling recollection with me:https://www.revealnews.org/episodes/when-they-took-my-son/ …

Wilson and Tonita were reunited after nearly two months apart. Here they are sharing their first meal w their family in Arkansas. We have documents. We have statements. And, most importantly, we have the voices of people who were directly affected by the polices we write about.pic.twitter.com/HrxmLPywRX

But they struggle to make ends meet. Wilson joined Cub Scouts but can’t even afford his uniform. Despite humanitarian parole, Tonita isn’t authorized to work. She heard of a program that could help them with food and counseling. But she’s terrified of becoming a “public charge.”pic.twitter.com/N03O6cg0Zl

Before mamá and son were reunited, their family was asked to build a new bedroom for Wilson. They had to spend $3k to do that alone. This family already struggled to keep the lights on. They’ve started a fundraiser to help keep their family together:https://www.gofundme.com/keeping-our-family-togather …

Thank you for the all the work you put into this. We would not have known what was going on without the work of reporters. I understand that U.S. kids, 54 of them, have recently removed from their parents & as parents are held to process their cases. Will there be more reporting
