if she overstayed her visa ... it wouldn't matter if she married while she was her & her visa was current she would still have been required to return to canada to wait until they called her for the interview

seriously ask an immigration lawyer- even though the INS generally looked away, most people returned to their home country just before the time of the interview so they had proof they re-entered the country exceptions were for g4 visas & hb1s
