“My mother... came to this country legally.” Hmm. Although there’s been a big focus on Melania Trump’s immigration history, no one’s really focused on Ivana Trump. I dug into a bit earlier this year. You may wanna pull a seat up for this one.https://twitter.com/axios/status/1025020133780205569 …

In her book, Raising Trump, @IvankaTrump’s mom Ivana explains that she entered into a fraudulent marriage in 1971 for the purpose of obtaining a passport. "We stayed married for two years to fool the government." Her words; not mine.pic.twitter.com/3KrypyM4As

Once she made her way to Canada on a passport obtained through a fraudulent marriage, Ivana Trump began crossing the border to the United States to work. It was a quick drive from Montreal. Trump never mentions if she obtained a permit cross the border or to work.pic.twitter.com/NkQdOoTCj2

Ivana Trump then began coming to the United States for modeling gigs. She met Donald on one of those trips. He proposed. Stay with me, because here’s where it gets really interesting.

Ivana likely had a visa by the time. She was either in New York as a tourist or a worker. If someone proposes to you one when you’re on that kind of visa, you can get married right away and it’s legitimate before the United States. That’s not what happened in this case.pic.twitter.com/cGjxjqmVfH

Ivana returned to Canada to pack. Returning to the U.S. on a tourist or work visa, with the intent to marry, would be a big no-no in immigration law. We don’t know exactly what happened, but we do know Ivana waited 11 years to get her citizenship after her marriage to Donald.pic.twitter.com/lbenutaK3N

People do what they can to get to the U.S. They fake marriages. They cross borders. They get by on unauthorized labor. They have children, which are pejoratively called “anchor babies.” Her daughter said her mom came here “legally.” Care to clarify what you meant, @IvankaTrump?

White europeans like Ivana Trump are less scrutinized. Imagine a Maya woman from Guatemala who flaunted a fake marriage just to get a passport. Only some people get to do this, get away with it, and then literally write a book about it... all without consequence.

Highest murder rate of any civilization in the history of the world. That's a tough category to reach #1 in, especially when you maintain it for centuries.

Europeans enslaved more than 10 million people and wiped out up to 100 million people while “civilizing” the continents now known and as North America and South America. Please see your way out of my mentions, at least until you learn the basics of violence.

Those colonial killings did not happen within an advanced civilization. The Maya invented written language and built great cities, science, and commerce all on their own. PS: Killing 100MM people because nobody in the world knew how smallpox works yet isn't violence.

I have no problem with women entering this country to have a baby. You just read how it took Ivana Trump 11 years to get her citizenship. Many people from many countries, not just Russia engage in "birth tourism". Perhaps if this country didn't make it so hard in the first place.
