I’m fairly certain it has a greyhound ticket inside going wherever they know people residing in the US. You should probably disclose that.

-
Nah. There was no Greyhound ticket inside this envelope. Before attempting to dictate what I should disclose, you may want to consider the absurdity of being “fairly certain” about things you don’t know anything about.
-
I provided pro bono legal services in McAllen and Port Isabel. All of the people I met with going through Catholic Charities were given grayhound tickets in those envelopes. That’s what the paper is referencing.
-
For the second time: there was no Greyhound ticket in this envelope. This family never got a bus ticket. Period.
-
Ok then they are unique in that situation, to be clear.
-
I’m on the same side as you, but think it’s important that people aren’t misled into thinking that they are just being sent off as this family was apparently.
-
If you wanna tweet that giving families a ticket and this sign to navigate the world is a great thing, go for it. No one is stopping you. But don’t come into my mentions, change the goalposts after I confirm this family didn’t get tickets, and still accuse me of being misleading.
-
It’s still an anomaly. You’re trying to write your narrative as everyone is getting sent on their own without any help. When the reality is envelopes typically come with a bus ticket. This is just one of the mistakes that happen when humans are involved. Dishonest journalism.

I need clarity on this. Are these children just released to thin air and whoever they came across was to see this? Confused.
-
They were given to parents and children who are reunited. Mothers and fathers are all over the United States this week holding these signs, relying on the kindness of strangers after the horrific separations they survived the last couple of months.

I don’t understand.
-
Me either It's unclear and non specific
-
If I'm understanding correctly: Parents who were reunited w their children were often separated by large distances. This is what some were given to help them reach the children forcibly removed from them when they left detention. I've heard no assistance; haven't seen this yet.
-
This was given to parents and children who were reunited and released. The document ostensibly is meant to help families navigate travel to a new home.
-
Thanks for clarifying and thanks for your work. The situation is terrible.

Was there anything in the envelope?
-
Their papers from various immigration authorities; sometimes bus tickets.
-
Why is no one (from a govt agency) helping them? Why are minors being abandoned without the govt ensuring they are reunited with a family member? And if there’s no ticket, how can anyone, even a well meaning bystander, help them? This is insane. And evil.

Horrifying. Every last detail of this is horrifying.
