I've spoken with several MVM employees. Every conversation helps me understand more about what happened in those offices. If you work(ed) for MVM and want to talk, you have my word that I will protect your identity. DM, call, text or (better yet!) Signal me: 323-202-9895.

I know your boss has recently warned you not to talk to the press. Know that some of your coworkers have talked anyway, because they, too, are worried about what happened. If you think your boss will ask to look at your cell records, PLEASE USE SIGNAL:https://www.wired.com/story/ditch-all-those-other-messaging-apps-heres-why-you-should-use-signal/ …

How come it took the whole country no time to see how morally & ethically wrong this was but for the actual workers, who were enforcing this, it took a while? Is it possible they are being disingenuous or is the selection of workers who won’t doubt/oppose their orders that good?

1) To be clear, I spoke with a neighbor from the second office Monday who was mortified by our first story. She then saw children in the same sweatsuits next door but didn't make the connection until I called. Sometimes people just can't recognize what's happening.

2) Some MVM workers had a sense something was wrong but didn't say anything bc they thought they might be targeted for less hours on a job that doesn't already guarantee hours. Fwiw, many feel remorse that they didn't do something; that's part of why they're saying something now.
