In my segment, listeners can hear about Claudia Amaro, whose asylum case will be heard in 2021.Her father was killed. Her uncle was killed. Her brother-in-law was killed by cops in Mexico. Her husband was kidnapped by cops in Mexico. It's not certain her claim will be granted.

Because he's a new immigration judge, we didn't yet have data for Jayme Salinardi, who will hear Claudia Amaro's case.
@AMJOLaw got (and shared) new data a couple of days ago. We now know Salinardi heard 71 asylum cases this fiscal year. He granted asylum in 10. He denied 61.pic.twitter.com/sDsNENp9gP

Immigration judge Salinardi started in fiscal year 2016; that year he approved 35% of asylum claims. In FY 2017, he approved 21% of asylum claims. So far in FY 2018, he's approved 14% of asylum claims. That's what Claudia Amaro is up against in 2021.

Previously unavailable data for asylum grants/denials for every immigration judge from 2014 to the present made available by @AMJOLaw's FOIA request:https://amjolaw.com/2018/06/08/every-immigration-judges-asylum-grants-and-denials-from-2014-to-2018/ …
