    For anyone who worked on Amazon or other big site: how many software components are required to show one page? Including tracking, ads, monitoring , APM, customisation, data pipelines for analytics, etc, etc. Is ~ 100 in the right ballpark?

    In the case of Parler, I would suggest they build a data centre, buy several very large mainframes, put lots of engineering effort into running Kubernetes on it plus buys lots of SANs, very big SANS and Oracle plus SAP HANA plus build their own generators. Also go bimodal ->

    My favourite one (from my own experience many winters ago, just after I finished uni): Doing TDD is having a few JUnit tests that you run before you deploy. Luckily I meet some hardcore TDD and XP advocates later.
