@audreygelman @jiatolentino why should female founders be protected (and pandered to) when they treat their employees like shit?
@madeleine_rae they shouldnt & jezebel will never be propaganda. just enough hostility out there for women trying/struggling to start things
@audreygelman @madeleine_rae defending your friend from legit criticism & cloaking it in feminist language smhhttps://twitter.com/erinjeen/status/635932888131837954 …
@morninggloria @madeleine_rae not mutually exclusive! just want to read more stuff on Jezebel that builds women up rather than shits on them
@audreygelman what about the female vendors and employees Erin shat on? Are they not worth defending and uplifting?
@morninggloria they deserve a platform and a voice which you gave them - im just giving some feedback as a loyal reader (and yes, a friend)
@audreygelman I'm not sure that an exploitative and ineffective CEO deserves uplifting, sorry.
@morninggloria women = 47% of US workforce but only 4.6% of major CEOs. maybe a women's site should do a neat series picking them all apart
@audreygelman as a site that mostly writes about women, the good and the bad, those are inherently the business-related tips we get
@audreygelman "some legit stuff" is the essential criteria; we write abt a lot of people w/ shady practices; it only seems "mean" with women
@jiatolentino I just think most small businesses deal with vendor issues, let alone one that becomes huge overnight. you used mean!
@audreygelman substitute whatever you're implying, then, maybe I misunderstood
