I don’t know, man. I thought being Republican meant that we want to keep government out of our lives as much as possible. Withholding state funds from public libraries b/c they have books that make you a little uncomfortable is the antithesis of what I thought the party was about

Genuine question for my fellow MO GOPers regarding SB14. At the beginning of COVID we were all screaming about HIPAA and the right to medical privacy. Shouldn’t we apply the same standards and principles here?

- According to our partners at the @ACLU, this is also a breach of privacy because every time a person shows important documents, transgender people would be forced to out themselves. Every time someone has to show an ID that fails to match their gender they are at risk.

In my CD alone, parts of Barry County, Stone County, Newton County (where I have two bars of cell service on a good day), and pretty much everywhere in Taney County that's not Branson struggles to get internet. (Branson peeps will agree that the main provider, Suddenlink, is 🗑️).

P-D recaps story on actions by Sen. Eric Schmitt 2 days into his 6-year term. Reportedly Missouri’s new senator called other Republicans asking them to give up their coveted seats on the Judiciary Committee for him & … “The recipients have not welcomed his entreaties”

I was out to dinner in DC & was at the table behind me. A young man at another table tried to subtly take a picture, but he accidentally dropped his phone. (Loudly.) His date noticed everyone in the restaurant was staring, so she shouted, "Opa!" Great save, girl.

This is what it's like to run for office in Missouri. Our bodies are over-regulated, and that extends to our wardrobe. We exist in a much smaller box of what is and is not appropriate, to the extent that our clothes become part of the public debate.

Pete Buttigieg is the sole regulator of the country's airline industry, one million people were stranded over the holiday, and liberals like this - lobotomized by MSNBC - are cognitively unable to fathom the idea that regulators should be pressured to do their jobs.

It remains hilarious to me how much Buttigieg gets under the skin of people like Sirota. The irony being that there are few on the left with more talent and potential to secure big progressive wins in the future than Mayor Pete. twitter.com/davidsirota/st…

Breaking: Agape Boarding School in Stockton, Missouri, under investigation due to allegations of abuse, says it will close Jan. 20. News from @szuchsm, more to come. news-leader.com/story/news/loc
At 12:58pm on Jan. 6, 2021, our officers headed to the US Capitol, unaware of the magnitude of violence that would unfold. We answered the call. Today, we reflect, remember the lives we’ve lost, and strive to continue to uphold our oath to protect and serve our nation's capital.

#1 - Newton County Watermelon Feed One of the biggest audiences we candidates spoke to. More importantly, after I spoke, an 18-year-old girl came up to me and said, “That’s the first time I’ve seen someone up there with a face that looks like mine.” ❤️

#2 - The Debate Everyone says they know how they would perform in a debate, but you don’t know until you’re in it. I showed SWMO that I am professional, I am prepared, and I do not pander to an audience. I also proved to myself that I can hold my own and I belong on this stage.

#3 - During the primary I advocated for same-sex marriage; for love and acceptance to be the norm. I got a card from a same-sex couple after I lost, saying they were proud to vote for me and were happy to have someone to support. (Winning isn’t the only value a campaign has.)

#4 - Barry County R Meeting / Candidate Forum As the only candidate w/ roots in Barry County, I delivered my message of supporting those whose needs are left out of the national conversation. Afterward a woman came up & said, “I enjoyed the crud out of hearing you speak.” 💕

My top five moments of the 2022 MO-07 congressional primary campaign. #5 - getting on the ballot. Seeing my name, standing in line with all these other candidates, it felt like I’d been accepted as a candidate in a way I wasn’t in 2020.
