I believe there is a math for that somewhere. And it should take into account some factors like: human traffic, car traffic, traffic on each side, traffic on double crosses. Kinda hard to calculate, but it can be done with few cameras, or on city planning level.

Yes! Must be a car & pedestrian volume/velocity tipping point that makes the decision tip, I’m not “mathy” enough to easily figure out where it is but I’m curious to want Twitter mind to help me understand it (lolcurious enough to want to know but not enough to figure out myself)
