@attritionorg uhm, Jericho, it has limits like any analogy, but it describes a real flaw in the Android ecosystem @ncweaver @manicode

@attritionorg and if you are a generic user, having an iOS device is actually pretty safe (~zero malware)@ncweaver@manicode -
@raistolo iOS has zero malware? conservative http://zd.net/1SeVA5Q to zomg http://bit.ly/1SeVBXu on the first two google hits. -
@attritionorg you cannot seriously compare the two ecosystems on that. Come on. -
@raistolo btw, I said "Apple". YOU said "iOS", limiting and drastically changing the argument. "you cannot seriously..." -
@attritionorg symmetrically, the original tweets were on iOS vs Droid, so maybe you let your (well-placed) distrust of Apple take over -
@raistolo Apple *hinders* vulnerability disclosure / aggregation. That is fact. - 3 more replies

@attritionorg not that I support the quote, but our Sony Xperia Z1 Compact's have been running 4.4.2 for over a year now without any updates -
@sjsmith_au without any PUSHED updates? or without any updates when you asked to PULL them? (Tmob requires you to pull...) -
@attritionorg yeah no push updates. Tried manual updates, nothing available -
@sjsmith_au that is obviously bad, and speaks to my original comment. some carriers provide updates, some do not. -
@attritionorg yeah no carrier updates either. I don't think Sony pass on updates as they become available -
@sjsmith_au Sony, Samsung... sell their phones to carriers. Carriers add stupid bloatware to phones, also responsible for updates. -
@attritionorg both our Sony's are Telstra branded with standard Sony bloatware. -
@sjsmith_au "Telstra" branded catches my eye, as T-Mobile adds a world of shit to Samsung phones that Samsung never put there. - 3 more replies
