Anyone remember the BBS signup "quizzes" where you would somehow prove your leetness by expanding the acronyms of various warez groups?
@chriseng The solid h/p boards had some trickier questions that weren't in every t-file. But, could signup as dummy, see questions, research

@attritionorg True, I was thinking of the warez boards. I remember one Q: "give an example of @-addressing" (i.e. an email addy, haha) -
@chriseng loved the boards that didn't update those quizzes, that were around a long time. or "what does h/p/v/a stand for??"

@attritionorg@chriseng Or you could get the sysop to zip up their BBS install so you could test it. Complete w/ user accounts. Whoops. :-) -
@stevewerby@chrisneg http://is.gd/M7oKVc and scroll past 2000! -
@attritionorg@chriseng modem to chat w/ a user from Australia who was connected to play a single turn on a game. For '91 that was amazing. -
@stevewerby@chriseng Downloading files from one BBS to upload a second for file credits.#BBSnostalgia (cc@textfiles) -
@attritionorg@stevewerby@chriseng@textfiles file credits? Quota boards sucked.. Leech all the way :) -
@jjarmoc@stevewerby@chriseng@textfiles Eventually, you ran into a board that had a few good ones though!
