JSR was more than just item collection, the act of tagging was engaging. Changing it to a banjo kazooie clone that still barely departs from the original is one of my greatest gaming disappointments.

JSRF is essentially item collecting, the police little more than another hazard to avoid. JSR was an arcade game about tagging spots and balancing the risk of bombing a spot before getting caught.

ITEM COLLECTION is a game mechanic prevalent in a wide variety of games. That doesn’t make it a Banjo Kazooie clone. Jet Set Radio is the only true ‘skating platforming’ game that exists. FUTURE removed joystick sprays so it could add quick tagging on hard to reach grinds.
