I don’t think it’s all of California. Some parts are lower than that. I think here in San Diego it’s $11 an hour. I make over minimum wage but I can’t stand when people think it is a requirement. It’s not. The company should pay their employees better not the customer.

Wouldn’t they still fire workers that didn’t meet company standards and not have to worry about a gap in staffing since there would be more applicants willing to do food service as employment because it would be at least minimum wage?
