The note on the safety of transit is interesting. In my state I often see transit measured solely on vehicle upkeep not safety or person mobility.

Virtually all the materials on the site are focused on driver & pedestrian behavior, education and enforcement. There is almost nothing about the role road design plays in deaths and injuries. It's like trying to prevent lung cancer w/out mentioning smoking.
