Update: DOJ says the acting attorney general “is coordinating with our law enforcement partners to add additional Federal law enforcement support to the Capitol Grounds.” That, to me, is not affirmative confirmation that Rosen is in charge. (“Coordinating”.) seeking clarity
Update: FBI says it has deployed to the Capitol to assist the Capitol Police. It also says the Washington Field Office has “responded to reports of suspicious devices. The investigation is ongoing.”

The most important line in Pentagon chief Miller’s statement, IMO: “We are prepared to provide additional support as necessary and appropriate *as requested by local authorities.*” That is the closest to a No on the Insurrection Act as Miller has ever said.
