Literally *fatally* flawed
A family member of mine took a Covid test on July 9 in hopes they could hang out with Mia without worrying about it. They still haven’t gotten results, & when they followed up w/clinic today, they were told it may be July 23 before results are in. A fatally flawed process.

We've been lucky in Chicago (because our public health has been put first by our leaders) - testing is free for anyone in the city at lots of different places and results have been coming in a day or two.

By then, those particular test results will be useless.

I was going to say that. If they took the test on July 9th, they may have contracted the virus from that time until now. Unless they didn't go anywhere or come into contact with others. Such a scary situation. I hope they can find a way to safely visit.

Exactly! We've been told we'll be "regularly" tested, but it's taking weeks to get results, so asymptomatic carriers will "regularly" be exposing co-workers, students, their families to this virus. I'm so tired of pointing out all the flaws to the "teachers are cowards" crowd.
