It’s a curious thing - other countries got rid of guns and didn’t turn into tyrannies. Other countries have universal healthcare, and didn’t turn in to tyrannies - and spend less per capita than the USA for better outcomes. Americans construct these strange fantasies

Curious what you think about the mandatory gun confiscations that preceded 20th century genocides. Not implying the same would happen in the U.S., but there is a case to be made for self-defense.

It’s ahistorical nonsense that misunderstands how tyranny works. Lenin took power in a civil war in which everyone had a gun. Stalin killed half the Red Army’s generals and they all had guns. The Germans killed a fifth of the population of Poland and Poland had a whole army.

Yep. Germany, for example, rates higher than the US and we have healthcare, a fraction of the homicides, even smaller fraction of gun deaths, worker rights etc.
