I see no issue here. He's allowed to support a protest he believed in, just like anyone else, regardless of status or privilege.

I'm a white American in Miami in support of efforts to improve Haiti. Anyone saying my privilege disqualifies my cheerleading can stuff it.

Privilege does not preclude beliefs, ethics, and morals. Even
@POTUS can support racial equality and justice, if he believed in it enough. -
Except it does. When whites speak on racism like affirmative action, they're told to check their privilege. Asians included.

What exactly are they speaking on? Whatever side they take, it's still their right to express it. Some probably won't agree but they can.

If what they express is an extreme, unpopular opinion, it's on others to accept that it's their opinion, but they don't have to like it.
