If someone were writing a book for the first time, what advice would you give that you wish you knew the first time around?

commit *and push* frequently. don't be afraid to change, delete, etc.

don't be afraid of short chapters. don't over stylize (bolds, italics).

whoever you think your audience may be, engage them early in the writing to get feedback.
