My girlfriend and I don’t agree on everything but when it comes to issues of body positivity I owe her more than tweeting a magazine cover with laughing emojis. I apologize to her and any of her fans, regardless of my thoughts on the cover it was insensitive and shitty

Right about what exactly?
-
What do u think?

I'm not sure. He didn't make any claims so I'm not sure what exactly he's right about.
-
He's right to ridicule such a ridiculous magazine cover. We should not be mean to Tess, she is a human being that should be treated with kindness, but accepting that that cover is the new normal is wrong
-
Wrong why though? I never see people say this when people who are skinny to an unhealthy degree are on a cover. Did the cover state this was the new normal? Honest question, I only saw the top half of it.

Here is full pic. As u see in her comment, she wishes she had seen bodies like this on the cover of mags. Fat advocates are trying to make fat beautiful and unlink it from disease. And yes, lots of people speak out when a model is too thin and looks healthy.pic.twitter.com/huh9I0vlAr

I'm kind of torn on the subject because, yeah, obesity kills, but at the same time they should be represented and not stashed away like their embarrassments or something. I don't see anything wrong with her being on the cover.
-
It's definitely a tough situation. Everyone should love & appreciate their own bodies bc they are all we have, but at the same time if more and more little girls think it's fine to be fat bc it's beautiful, more & more ppl will have their lives destroyed by it
