At every company I've worked so far, I always asked to sit next to a developer. If you're concerned about bridging design & dev, this is the single most impactful thing you can do.

Makes a lot of sense, although we often see the opposite. Engineers and designers getting a split seat assignment (or choosing themselves to sit with "like minded" within same profession.

For us, the Scrums sit with the devs and the UX/UI designers sit together. But the designers never work with the Scrums.
