Despite huge supply in the US, I’m hearing from people in many states that it’s not easy for the elderly to get a booster appointment now. Many places are full, apparently for weeks. I can’t confirm all the reports but seems important to look into? Especially outside few cities.https://twitter.com/NathanStall/status/1470181442273558528 …

Sorry to intrude, but we've had success in NJ scheduling directly thru CVS website after same situation. If they haven't tried that as an option yet, it might help. Good luck to them.

Try Walgreens.

Try local independent pharmacies. They don't have fancy appointment web sites but many take walk ins. Call ahead for hours. My family got boosters this way in Orange and Glenn Ridge, NJ.

Good call. They might have to call or bounce around in person.

Try Walmart, Target, CVS and Walgreens. All had walk-in shots available last week, when I checked. Even for 5-12 category.

Those are the ones they tried a few days ago! Target / CVS won't allow a vaccine to be scheduled if any fever in the previous 14 days. Walgreens was the one that had an appt on 12/23

Thanks for the advice everybody. https://www.vaccines.gov/search/ is the way to go, instead of going through each pharmacy that I can think of off the top of my head. They were able to book an appointment today for their kids!
