See thread, explaining new study: much higher transmissibility for Omicron on top of antibody evasion causing more breakthroughs and re-infections. Do note that even if milder due to immunity and/or lesser intrinsic virulence, still crucial especially for elderly to get boosters.https://twitter.com/mugecevik/status/1471088936999137281 …
On what basis are you pushing for boosters? You say they help, but based on what evidence?

Considerable in vitro evidence in favor of booster (regain neutralization where 2-shots alone were not sufficient). This almost certainly translates into protection. There is also real-world data suggesting boosted less likely to need

This means nothing to me. Screenshots of someone I don’t know making claims on Twitter. It doesn’t even contain enough information to know what they are actually claiming specifically. You could have linked to the tweets instead which would let me dig through that thread.

From the New England Journal of Medicine this week - a comparison of booster vs only original 2 shots, starting 5 months after the 2nd shot - 90% reduction in deaths with the booster compared to already good benefit from initial 2 shots.pic.twitter.com/opBmo1Ke5Y

It is extremely aggravating that people don’t link to the actual paper. That graph clearly shows more risk for no booster, but what does that mean? How did they count events? That graph doesn’t mention death at all but you specifically talked about a reduction in deaths.

for those who got 3 Pfizer doses versus 2 doses after 6 months!!! And it benefits both elderly and younger adults!!! Middle age should definitely take booster!
