Biden also, during the Anita Hill time, told her, "Aw kiddo, I feel for you. I wish I weren’t the chairman, I’d come be your lawyer.” — But that’s not what she needed. She needed him to conduct the hearing in a way that didn’t give Clarence Thomas an advantage. (2/x)

Biden has done a ton of amazing policy work on violence against women. Far more productive than macho rhetoric. (3/x)

And also... toxic masculinity is part of the problem. Including hyper-macho language. It feels very “I’ll defend your honor, missy!”

You do know that (1/X) screams out "self assignment," right?

So right. It's the same "rescue the heroine" macho BS that permeates our culture.

Try dating out here as a man in red America and tell women you won't protect her. You will be single.

All true points, and I’d agree with you any day of the week, but there is something strangely appealing about the thought of watching Scrappy Joe Biden take him down.

The EXACT thing Trump voters like. Biden knows what he’s doing

Well, that’s one way to look at it. He’s just being Joe, and he’d truly enjoy kicking T’s ass. He’s also playing to blue collar white males here. Frankly, I suspect he expected T’s reaction & may now say, let’s settle it, knowing Trump won’t, which will make T look weak to some.

Is it outdated? Definitely. Are many men in the US outdated? Yes. Does emasculating the supposed Alpha make a few of them like Trump less? Maybe. And that’s good. Dude can destroy the world in half an hour.

I think the issue here is Donald Trump

In his defense.. he said “in high school”, it was probably 50 years ego.. At that time probably should have been the right thing to do.

Perhaps he's just thinking of how much of a pleasure it would be to kick Trump's ass and make him cry.

I 100 percent agree with this, and unfortunately outdated thinking seems to be en vogue right now, and even cheered and encouraged by many as "genuine" and the key to reaching white, blue collar voters.

I would like to pose a question. Should this line of thought suggest that there will division within the (D) voter populace in a time we need unity? I ask because it seems like the table is being set for yet another Bernie v Hilary type tragedy. Divide and Conquer
-
I realize there are valid concerns as it relates to the direction of this country, but surely an issue cannot be extracted from every single statement. Doing so is threatening to the cause and leads way to pettiness. IMHO
