How was it wrong? Black voters overwhelmingly told me they weren't jazzed about Jones but would vote for him anyway. They turned out in droves -- exactly what he needed.

They were jazzed. We have never had African American volunteers at the typical party headquarters volunteering like we did for this race. On top of that, traditional black groups like ADC were drawing 100's of people to dinners in places like Greensboro

Overall, it turns out they were! The ppl I talked to were overwhelmingly not jazzed. But black women in particular turned out in droves for Jones in the end, exactly what he needed. They deserve credit here.

Sorry if I was snappy. There were a lot of stories like yours before the election that some of us were afraid would depress turnout. I'm probably still in campaign mode trying to protect my candidate
