I too love "To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” — As someone who is Asian-American, but didn’t grow up seeped in Asian culture, it’s nice to also see movies where the main character is Asian, but the entire movie isn't about her being Asian.

She happens to be Asian (or in the case of this show, biracial). It comes into play now and then, but it doesn’t define her every single day with every single thing she does.

I’ve done media hits where someone will ask me what I think of the unemployment situation or something, “as an Asian-American.” Sometimes… I don’t have views on that, “as an Asian-American.” I’m adopted, Jewish, and grew up in an all-white area.
