It’s not that they all think there was no meddling. More skepticism about how influential it was, whether it was directed by the Kremlin, how coordinated it was.

The simple fact of ANY collusion would be sufficient to force any other president in American history to resign.

@aterkel offers an important insight—Independent Russian journalists & NGOs I work with worry about what escalating tensions will do to already narrowing space for dissent.... -
So your theory is if everybody just eases up and is nice to Putin, lets him have Crimea, stay in Eastern Ukraine, interfere in foreign elections without challenge—civil society in Russia will then blossom and thrive? Good luck with that one.

Didn't Obama say that one would have to be crazy to think that a foreign government could influence the election?
-
Note: Meddling in a campaign vs. meddling in an election might be, technically, a distinction without a difference - but it IS misleading, as Turner's original tweet proves.
-
I'm just going off exactly what Obama said.

The amount of people who think that Russia meddled in our elections is staggering. It's like they're trying to get us to believe it was Russia, and not our own political parties, who rigged the election.
-
That's exactly what it's like, they're hoping everyone will just forget about the 1000s of emails proving that Berners were right all along about the DNC rigging their primary & electing Trump. It's not going to happen without consequences & the rats haven't suffered any yet.

I have talked with anti-Putin Russian journalists who also seemed skeptical. Masha Gessen also has criticized coverage possible Russian collusion.
-
Masha doesn't dispute interference, but was critical of coverage. The skepticism of anti-Putin Dissidents should at least be cause for introspection. Interference by Russia is indisputable, but the effect of that interference is hard to tabulate.
-
we are seeing the effect of that interference this week in Helsinki, then at the NATO, not to mention Iran deal, Paris climate accord and last G7-meeting. the big picture of Putin wanting a naive buddy to help restoring its former power and braking the liberal order, its WORKING
-
Did you ever consider that neither Trump nor his supporters care for your so-called "liberal order"? Putin is probably more in favor. You want to preserve Jens & Erna slobbering over any US POTUS so that everyone gets a piece of those wasteful military programs? That's NATO.
