Yeah I noticed you didn’t address it at all. At least you’re upfront about not caring about it

For me it’s a question of the greater threat. Crowder possibly overstating something is far less serious than the potential misuse of YT’s influence powers, do that’s the claim I tested. I think he raiseda legit concern that is being to offhandedly dismissed by some. (cont)

Why do you think that he used filtered results if the point could have just as easily been made without filtering the results? That doesn’t make you question his integrity in any way?

Did the fact that I performed independent trials before opining on his claims escape you? Most political pundits overstate or misrepresent to bolster their claims, happens across the spectrum. I extend blind trust to almost no one, even those w/ whom I generally agree. (cont)

The focus on petty bickering points at the expense of deeper more core issues is something I loathe. We may disagree on what it means, but I don’t think it’s arguable that YT searches seem to act differently for political and non political channels, and by ideology. (cont)

I am far from complacent about the concentration of power to influence public thought, regardless of whose ox is getting gored at the moment.

You seem pretty complacent about the fact that Crowder has no problem misinforming his audience in order to push a narrative that doesn’t exist, if it suits your notion that people like him are being censored.

And you seem pretty complacent that differences in YT search, actual deplatforming, and demonetization can be correlated to political ideology. I simply find the latter to be more concerning than the former.

Jfc, they’re correlated to political content, not ideology. Being demonetized does not equate to being censored, and being deplatformed is not exclusive to right wing commentators. For whatever reason, it doesn’t seem to bother you that you’ve been blatantly lied to, I got that.

But when the targeted content is based upon ideology there is no difference. For example, demonetizing a video that discusses gender identity for saying there’s only two genders is explicitly favoring one ideology over the other.

You really need to do more research on this, LGBTQ channels on YouTube are routinely demonetized. The guy saying “there are only two genders,” is the one crying about being demonetized. Why?
