I oppose elective abortion after the first trimester, but nonetheless found this quite moving and thoughtful: youtube.com/watch?v=sKoXJQ
It emphasizes that everyone is doing their best to pursue the good as they see it.

The clip doesn't warrant the conclusion. It doesn't show that "everyone" is doing anything - it shows one case.
But the research doesn't back up the idea that most (or even many) abortions are like this. Even the Guttmacher Institute says most abortions are for convenience.

I'm not disputing that, I'm saying they sincerely think they're doing the right thing. I strongly disagree, but I don't think it's bad faith.

Your voice finally matters thanks to the SCOTUS decision. Those who feel as you do now have an option. Before this it was abortion at 9 months or none.

You oppose? Who are you to oppose? It's not YOUR body. Mind your own business.

You oppose elective abortion for yourself after the first trimester? Ok. There are bunches reasons for an abortion after 12 weeks and unless it’s yours, it’s none of your damned business. Awful things happen sometimes. 25% of women have had abortions

Thanks for posting this video, it touched me years ago and even more so, now.
The people who need to see this aren't open to seeing abortion as an individual's painful and complicated choice. They want easy decisions and simple self righteousness.

I oppose it in general. I also oppose forcing other people to live by my opinions.
