Like--and this is going to sound crazy--maybe running an editorial operation is harder than it looks from the vantage point of your couch?

(And yes, I offer exactly the same critique to the unfortunately high number of journalists who are confident that they, who have never managed anything larger than their own expense account, could do a better job than some CEO.)

When is the Examiner going to get around to writing some pieces following up on years of unmasking scandal hype that didn't work out? I mean, all the lectures about overplaying Russiagate, but we're not even going to get a bare acknowledgement this York-driven nothingburger?

As a Journalism major in College 42 years ago if seems that today’s Journos have an agenda & are using the 1st amendment as cover to fulfill their goals. The only profession protected in the Constitution is that of Journalist. Are you worthy of that protection?

Can we point out that the Atlantic (1) knew she was a bad actor coming in, and (2) has a history of firing good actors for insufficient wokeness?

There’s no such thing as excessive dunking on the Atlantic after the way they treated Kevin Williamson.
-
No, but there can be badly-aimed dunking. Attack people on issues where they're wrong, not ones where they're right, or even ones where they made the best plausible efforts to be right. (Do that too much, and you don't have time to attack when they're actually wrong.)
