Congress pumped enough money into the economy that for many companies nothing much has happened.

Also, if anyone took profits by cashing out and then buying back in at "bargain" prices, then they are both: A. Making profit in selling high/buying low. B. Helping sustain/project a "support" level to attract others back in. It is a pathetically easy game for big $$$ players.

My favorite reasons: 1. Nowhere better to put the money, and lots of saving. 2. Fed help. 3. (Erroneous) assumption of no further lockdowns. 4. Underestimating impact (i.e., CBO estimating only 3% of GDP / income total loss across 10 years).
